Weigand is surprised to see his friends involved once again in a murder. It's a delightful story with the Detective and the North's considering and discarding suspects. The North mysteries are always filled with interesting characters and satisfying endings. You won't find gore, terror, gratuitous violence or sex, just a bit of suspense.Product details

Book was in such awful shape could not turn pages without tearing them...paper just crumbled. Very disappointing and annoying!
It's nice and simple, an easy reading (though easily forgotten too).
As long ago as this novel was written it still works today. Characters seem real and motivation current. Lovely representation of the genre. Worth the effort to read
I love these old school murder mysteries... no modern inventions to distract from the pure sleuthing.
They let me relax into the past before all the electronics filled my life with noise.
This is a very interesting case for Pam, Jerry, and Bill. They have a hard time with this case. There are a lot of suspects and not many clues which make it difficult to solve.There is even a group trying to put on a play and the money man is killed at a rehearsal.
Pam is a bit of a screw ball and hat brings some fun to it.. As I got into it , I shared with her puzzlement. And at one point her fear made my heart rate hit about 150. The book is well worth the reader.
